My working way
I'm curious by nature, a shopaholic and always checking out what's new to taste, hear, smell and see. I can't leave a city without having checked out the nicest shops, best restaurants and cultural hotspots.
This makes that I'm aware of the latest trends and have my vision of what's happening in the market. Next to this I visit trade fairs such as Maison&Objet (Paris), Salone del Mobile (Milano) and Show-Up (NL). I visit inspiring cities worldwide and like to read the magazines, the blogs and the leading websites.
With all the information I absorb I make translations from my thoughts by putting visuals together and build themes that show fresh and new looks. I love to translate this to commercial product collections.
So in my projects I work like this:
1. Check out the market and the target group to define the trends and needs.
2. Create suitable but surprising themes, colour cards and prints.
3. Make creative and commercial product ranges including nice packaging, presentations for sales departments, ideas for outspoken trade fair booths and catalogues.
